Tom's Blog: The effect on my family and friends

In this Blog I am going to talk about the effect my head injury had on my family.
My life changed when I had a stroke. My family was very worried about my Brain injury, the effect it would have on my work life. Planning and organising home and work life is very hard and I was not able to do them as before.
Lucky for us both my wife and 2 children are all working, but I lost my job and I feel I am not helping with wages and this puts a lot of pressure on home life. This means that we have a very quiet life but it has brought us very close and we are getting use to the sickness. Work looks as if it a long off but with the help from Headway I am getting used to using my brain and thinking. This week I was in hospital and I was given good news, I was taken off half of my tablets which mean's I must be getting a bit better. It has been a long 2 and a half years and hopefully I will continue the same way.
