Headway - Life After Brain Injury

my next goal

My next goal is to possibly start meeting other people around my age which Is I won't lie a young looking 34!!

My long term goal is to obviously recover more and more which I believe I am doing. I'm in headway since June and they have been great to me and I believe with their help I can only get stronger mentally and emotionally.

I'm a positive person but I'm realistic at the same time, for example when the snow came down last month I did not go outside until all the icy roads were clear. I stayed in and used the exercise bike my family have because although I was not walking outside I knew I still had to keep exercising my legs and keep my muscles loose and then continue my walking.

I was in the nursing home in Kiltipper Nursing Home for almost four years and I used to play bingo most Fridays and I enjoyed it and although it was older patients I was playing and there was some good prizes and some not so good ones, ,I did not mind, I was having a bit of fun playing and winning a prize around every three or four weeks which was handy, I will be starting travel training pretty soon and I will be getting the bus. I hope to be able to get the bus to Kiltipper to visit friends.
I visit headway twice a week Mondays and Wednesdays which I like doing and I truly believe I am getting my life back on track. I know that there are some people who do not want to know anyone with either brain or other serious injuries but I also know that there are good people out there who care enough not to let it bother them
