Are you caring for someone with a brain injury?
4 Feb 2009
If you are caring for someone with a brain injury, then we have some special events on for you during this year's Brain Awareness Week.
We will be having a Pamper Zone for Carers in our Manor St centre on Wednesday, 11th March, from 10.30 am - 12.30 pm. All are welcome, We will also be serving tea & coffee.
And ... we would like your help too:
Please email us (in confidence) a list of the four changes in behaviour that you have seen in your family member since their ABI (email: info@headway.ie) or give Ruth Lunnon a call on 01 810 2095 (she is our Information & Support Officer).
This will help Professor Ian Robertson in preparing a talk and Question & Answer session he will leading on "Living with a Disordered Brain - Life After a Brain Injury", at 7 pm on Wed, 11th March, 2009 in The Science Gallery, TCD, Pearse St, Dublin 2. (Please note: he will naturally, not be using the name of anyone who contacts us in the talk).
Do come along at 7pm on the 11th March - it looks set to be a very interesting evening... Click here to see more details and a map. Click here to see all our other events around the country.
Another event for carers is: "Always on My Mind - Caring for a Person with a Neurological Condition". This is a one-day conference being held by the Neurological Alliance of Ireland & Care Alliance Ireland on Tuesday, 10th March in Dublin. Click here to read more.
Finally, we are really interested in your views on the amount of information available to people following brain injury. Please take a moment to download our survey and email it to us at stablesr@headway.ie
