Headway - Life After Brain Injury

Cork Man nominated for Road Safety Award

29 Sep 2009

Alan Quinn from Cork has been working along with us over the past number of years to speak out regarding road safety. Despite having a severe brain injury resulting from a Road Traffic Accident, Alan has been supporting our efforts to deliver our road safety message to transition year students across Cork and other regions. His motto is that if he can save just one young person from the consequences of a road traffic accident then he has done his job.

As a result of his awareness raising efforts, local Gardai have nominated Alan for the Road Safety Authority's Leading Lights awards.

We want to say a huge thanks to Alan for all his work and we are all rooting for him when it comes to the final awards ceremony!
