THE NATIONAL REHABILITATION HOSPITAL TO LAUNCH
MULTI-AGENCY INITIATIVE

The National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) will launch a new initiative at the hospital - the Inter-Agency Information Kiosk - on Monday, October 12th, at 11.00am.

The purpose of this initiative is to give all the external support / advocacy agencies linked with NRH a defined central location and presence in the hospital to share and provide information about their services to our patients and families.

Richard Stables, Information and Support Manager for Headway says "Information is a vital ingredient in helping people to take control of their own rehabilitation. For example, going home after hospital and adjusting to the home environment can be a huge challenge. The information provided by the different agencies here helps provide reassurance to families that they are not on their own. Knowing where to turn to, who to contact, how to claim, what to ask for - these are all issues that this initiative will address".
