National Carers Week - Celebrating and Acknowledging Family Carers

National Carers Week is on from 18 - 24 June, 2012. The idea of this week is to celebrate family carers and the vital role you play in looking after someone with an illness or disability. Headway are official partners in the week, which is coordinated by Care Alliance Ireland.

Headway's monthly support group for family members of people with brain injuries will be held on Saturday, 16th June, from 10 am to 12 pm. This will be followed by a special National Carer's Week Celebration. The support group is facilitated by Headway staff member, Sonya Gallagher.

Anyone who cares for someone who's had a stroke, head injury, or brain injury from another cause, is welcome to come. Please phone Ciarán Nolan in Headway on 086-384-5815 if you would like to attend. You can also email him on nolanc@headway.ie.
