Press release - Dublin Biker Run
Summary
March 2nd 2010
Biker Run for Brain Injury in Dublin - Sunday 7th March 2010
To mark the launch of Headway's Brain Awareness Week events, several Dublin motorcycle chapters are coming together on Sunday March 7th for a fun-filled road trip through the streets of Dublin and Wicklow. Sacrificing their usual uniform of leather and chains, the bikers will be donning Headway high vis vests (and helmets, of course) in order to promote public awareness of brain injury and Headway services.
They will gather at 10.30am on South King St., in Dublin's city centre to show off their bikes, and their support for Headway. They're hoping to draw a big crowd to give them a boost of support for the day. Headway's Ambassador, Keith Barry, and the 98FM Thunder Team will join the bikers for a roaring send off at 11.30am. We will have fun, face painting, and balloons, for all kids, young and old!
It promises to be a fantastic morning and is the perfect opportunity for wannabe-bikers and their families to come along and hang out with the largest gathering of Honda, Harley-Davidson, and BMW-mean-machines likely to be seen in Dublin this year. And its all for a good cause: Headway's services for people who've had accidents, strokes, and other injuries to the brain.
You can contact Ciaran or Ruth in Headway for details on 01- 810 2066 or visit www.headway.ie for more information on this and other events in Dublin, Kilkenny, Carlow, Cork and Limerick during Brain Awareness Week, 7 - 14th March 2010.
