Headway Launches Advertising Campaign to Promote Awareness of Brain Injury

Headway, the Irish charity which helps people and their families rebuild their lives after brain injury, today 4th October unveiled a suite of marketing materials, including two 20 second television commercials and online ads, aimed at enhancing awareness of the charity and the work it has been carrying out since 1985.

The commercials are supported by Friends First and developed by Brando advertising and will air on the 4th October for a week's intensive activity highlighting the consequences of brain injury and the work of Headway.

Commenting, Kieran Loughran, CEO of Headway said: "Brain injury is a significant issue in Ireland where we estimate over 20,000 people each year are directly impacted through stroke, haemorrhage, accidents, and assaults. This thought provoking campaign highlights the struggles faced by people with brain injury in everyday situations that most of us take for granted. Headway.ie is a resource that families and professionals alike can use and is a key point of contact for information about the services and supports we provide to people affected by the trauma of brain injury."

Headway's mission is: To bring about positive change in the lives of those affected by an acquired brain injury. The charity provides support and services to people affected by brain injury. Founded in 1985, Headway also works to heighten public and political awareness of acquired brain injury and the impact it has on individuals, families and carers.
